Depending on clients' needs and team availability, we can provide on-site support as needed, depending on your location and project requirements. Most of our consultants are based in the NYC area, so we can provide onsite support there. Our consultants can also travel to other locations intermittently based on the client's needs.

No, we’re not a PEO. We focus on strategic and operational HR support. We can manage payroll and benefits administration, we are not a Professional Employer Organization (PEO)

We lead with kindness, professionalism, and a people-first approach. We work with your team to understand your specific needs, and staff a team of HR pros (generally 2 or more consultants) based on those needs. From there, we’ll create a tailored project plan for your organization.

You’ll have regular check-ins, typically weekly or biweekly, and access to your consultant or team of consultants as needed on a daily basis for ongoing support.

We bill monthly retainers based on the hours that our team is committed to spend with you, plus any overages. Our bill rates range from $175 to $350 per hour based on the work that we are doing with you.

Our monthly minimum depends on the scope of work. We work with some clients for as little as 1 hour per month, providing HR advisory support. We’re happy to discuss options that align with your budget and priorities.

No, we offer flexibility and only require 30 days notice to make a change. While many clients prefer ongoing support, we can tailor engagements to fit your timeline and goals.

People Function bills monthly retainers at the top of the month. Additional hours or services charged at agreed-upon rates are billed at the end of the month. To ensure that we are adhering to the budget and hours, People Function provides clients with a mid-month check-in.
